Soccer Update

It's been a while since I've provided you with an update on "the beautiful game", so here it is. A washed up player from England named Beckham is set to make his debut for the LA Galaxy this weekend. Apparently this is a big deal but I have yet to encounter a single person who cares. People keep on telling me that Soccer is alive and well in the United States but I have yet to see any evidence of that. Soccer might be the sixth most popular sport after Football, Baseball, Basketball, Nascar and Golf but that's about it. If soccer is so big in the United Sates then why does www.mls.com take me some real estate site intead of the official website of Major League Soccer? The NFL, NBA and MLB don't seem to have that problem, heck even the NHL doesn't have that problem. Face it soccer fan, soccer is not bigtime in the USA and it never will be!

You deserve a trip to Sizzler for those comments! Before there was football, baseball, basketball, Nascar and golf there were little children kicking around whatever round rolling object they could find! It's the most natural sport, and with all of the controversy in football (Vick) and baseball (Bonds)...well, who needs to be "popular" like that!

That said, happy wedding soon! I'm very happy for you!
