Every once in a while I get bored and I search the internet for the most ridiculous news item I can find. This week I came across a story out of the great state of California.
An 82 year old woman recieved a $114 ticket for taking to long too cross the street. The lady, Mayvis Coyle began crossing the street when the light was green but it turned red before she was able to make it across. Coyle told the LA Daily news that the cop said "your obstructing the flow of traffic"
I have the utmost respect for police officers and the job that they do. I'm grateful for the work that police do making communities that we live in safer. But to give an 82 year old lady a $114 ticket for crossing the street too slowly is ridiculous and that officer should be ashamed of himself.

That is LA baby move it or lose it. The fine was steep!
Maybe they should let her use the $114 toward one of those little motor-scooters.
