OS is a rival therefore I cannot be happy for their success. I doubt there were many Duke fans cheering for UNC in the CWS final. That's what make rivalries fun. I don't want OS to enjoy any success and I don't expect any OS fans to be wanting the U of O to be successful.
Is it so hard to rise above petty rivalry's? I mean pro sports is one thing but college? It just seems silly to get so worked up about something that means so little in the big picture of things.
College Sports Rivalries > Pro Sports Rivalries. First off I'm not so worked up over this thing. My rants against OS are all in FUN. In the grand scheme of things a sports rivalry is insignificant but in the sports world they're huge. I do think rivalries can get out of hand but like I said this is all in fun
There's not much I have to say about myself. I work in sales for a computer software company and I have degree in History with a Political Science minor.

Why isn't it possible to cheer for all the Oregon colleges and be happy for the states success? Does it always have to be a pissing contest?

So let me just say that we are still OSU, not OS. OS is the stupid new athletics logo. And for that matter Oregon State doesn't need "U". :)
Hope you are doing well be the way.
I don't see a "U" anywhere in the new logo so as far as I'm concerned it's now "OS". OSU refers to Oklahama State University.
